Paxton was out of my Glory/Strike litter. His name fit him perfectly....he was a Big Love...he had a passion for life and an insistence to make everyone he met love him. He left us far too quickly, but for the short time he was here, he gave me the Ride of My Life!
Paxton finished very easily at 7 months of age from the Bred-By class in 3 weekends of showing with a three point major and 2 back to back five point majors. He earned his first major, and a Bred-By Sporting Group 1 his very first day in the show ring! He also placed at the 2006 Vizsla Club of America National Events by going 4th in the competitive bred-by class as a 6 1/2 month old puppy! Like his mom, Glory, Paxton is a Best in Sweepstakes winner. He went Best in Sweepstakes at the 2007 Central Wisconsin Vizsla Club Specialty under breeder/judge Sheila Stahr. He was also a Best in Specialty Show Winner by going Best of Breed at the Twin Cities Vizsla Club Specialty May 25, 2007. That same weekend Paxton went Best of Breed all 3 days and earned a Sporting Group 1 under Jane Ropollo. Later that summer he was awarded Best Opposite in Sweepstakes and an Award of Merit at the Vizsla Club of Illinois Specialties.
Paxton's true love was in the field. He easily earned his JH, and he had a "long" nose on him, pointing his birds from long distances.
